Please be advised that the polo season will be extended for one week till Sunday 6th December 2015. On Saturday 5th December, weather permitting, there will be a special 4 chukka exhibition match to mark SG50 (in addition to the usual Club chukkas).

The polo field will then be closed commencing 7th December 2015 for annual maintenance and will reopen on 15th February 2016. During this ‘off season’ period, there will be no polo lessons or stick & ball on the polo field.

The field is expected to be open for stick & ball practice commencing Tuesday 16th February 2016 and practice chukkas will resume on Tuesday, 1st March 2016.

The polo stable yards will also be closed on the following dates due to the Christmas and New Year public holidays:
Christmas Eve, 24th DEC (closed after 10 am)
    Christmas Day 25th DEC (closed)
New Year’s Eve, 31st DEC (closed after 10 am)
New Year’s Day, 1st JAN (closed)

As the polo stable yards will only be manned by a skeleton crew, any members who wish to ride during the above public holidays are expected to tack and shower their own horse(s).

    Dear Members,

Cancellation of the Women’s International Polo Tournament 2015

We regret to inform you that the Women’s International Polo Tournament 2015, scheduled for 30th September – 4th October has had to be cancelled due to the present serious haze situation and in the absence of any accurate or reliable predictions as to how these conditions may change in the course of the next 10 days

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to those of you who were intending to attend this event and especially to those members who might have made table reservations for this tournament (which will of course be refunded).

Should you wish to seek further clarification, please contact Stephanie Lim at DID : 6854 3977 or

    The Club Management

Prevailing adverse atmospheric conditions are exacerbating the haze situation and causing a fairly serious problem with air quality. All polo players are therefore asked to note as well as adhere to the guidelines set out below.

    3-hour PSI level Below 100 101 to 120
    121 to 150
    Above 150
    (very unhealthy)
Polo To proceed as normal PSI>100: Polo cancelled PSI > 120: & Ball and/or Polo lessons cancelled Walking Only for polo ponies; players advised to wear surgical or other appropriate face masks
Stick & Ball or schooling in an Arena 100< PSI < 120:Stick & Ball and/or Polo lessons permitted.

Obviously, horses will need to be exercised i.e. at minimum walked out at least twice a day, but polo players/riders need to be very mindful not to overdo their horse’s exertion especially once the 3 hour PSI level hits 100.

For more detailed information and advice you may wish to consult the NEA website (, the haze microsite ( or NEA Twitter (@NEAsg), or download the myENV app to monitor the PSI level.
